What's new, interesting or problematic in ILL at your library?
The VIVA ILL Community Forum 2009 will give six forum participants an opportunity to share something interesting or innovative that their ILL department is doing or dealing with. Volunteers from a representative mix of institutions will have six minutes to describe a time-saving procedure, a new twist to something, a problem that needs to be addressed, or anything else that other ILL practitioners might be interested in.
This is our opportunity to share -- and learn from -- each other in an informal yet somewhat structured way. The brief presentations will take place right before lunch, and we'll have an opportunity to keep talking at discussion tables over lunch.
Here's how to volunteer for your six minutes of ILL fame:
- Post your six-minute slam idea to this wiki (see below), or email Tansy Matthews at tansy.matthews@gmail.com. Include your name, institution, and a few sentences about what you will share.
- All submissions must be received by June 22.
- The VIVA ILL Subcommittee will notify the six-minute slam presenters at least one week before the forum.
- Presentations are limited to six minutes.
